About

I’m Jai, Applied AI Lead at Turing College, a YC-backed edtech. I sell employer-funded AI apprenticeships to UK enterprises and teach the live workshops that open those rooms.

I took this job out of a belief: the average person can get properly capable with AI, and the ones who do will be fine whatever the market does next. I’m the test case. History MA, no technical background, and a 14-agent system I built now runs most of my working week.

Background

My degree is in history, with a master’s in Area Studies from the University of London. My career has been commercial: early roles at Collectiv Food, a B Corp rebuilding food supply chains, then an entrepreneur in residence stint at Antler in London. At Antler I worked on MCP testing and reliability tooling, which meant founder-led sales from a standing start: cold outbound to devtool founders, discovery calls run on Mom Test discipline, and a design partner pipeline I built and scored myself.

Somewhere in the middle of that, the building overtook the selling. I started with one automation and ended up with an agent system that briefs my meetings each morning, keeps my CRM honest, builds outbound campaigns from real account data and reviews my sales calls against a framework. Three months, no computer science, quite a lot of stubbornness.

That experience is why I joined Turing College. Their apprenticeships take working professionals from AI-aware to AI-capable, funded by the levy their employers already pay. I’d made that exact journey myself, so selling it and teaching it are the same motion for me. On any given month that looks like enterprise deal cycles, a workshop or three, and a multi-week curriculum like the Claude Code working group I ran with Women in Tech UK.
